Dry Eye’s Treatment

Dry Eye Disease is negatively affecting millions of people’s vision. Its most frequent symptoms include irritation, blurriness, excess watering, scratchy or gritty feeling, and contact lens discomfort.

The condition occurs when there is a lack of sufficient lubrication or moisture on the surface of the eye.  This is often caused by a decreased quantity of tear production or poor tear quality. Left untreated, Dry Eye can cause damage to the front surface of the eyes, which will in turn negatively affect the quality of one’s vision.

Each patient’s vision varies greatly, and so does their treatment for Dry Eye. Our trained technicians and lead Dry Eye Specialist, Dr. Anderson, O.D., evaluate each patient for Dry Eye during their comprehensive exam. If the condition exists, a customized treatment plan catered to a patient’s specific individual needs is presented to them. For more information call or visit http://www.aoa.org/x4717.xml.
